The Spectors just released their new single: 'DIG' it!

Follow-up single to 'Nico'

Published on 28 April 2014

Love is blind. Love forgives all. Love digs everything, even as it digs heart-shaped holes.

The second single taken off The Spectors’ self-titled debut EP, Dig is as much
a song about a love obsessed as it is about forgiveness and understanding.

The drums pound out metronomic Motown patterns as jangly guitars wail and pining voices soar in time-honoured Ascendant Aaah’s tradition, like The Beatles (Twist & Shout), Grandmaster Melle Mel (White Lines) and David Bowie (Let’s Dance) before.

Dig is the follow-up to debut single Nico, which spent 9 weeks in Studio Brussel’s weekly chart De Afrekening and garnered great reviews. Like Nico, it was written by frontwoman and bass-player Marieke Hutsebaut, who finetuned the song with the EP’s producer, Brit musician Chris Urbanowicz, formerly of Editors

If you want to check them out in the near future, they will be playing at KultuurKaffee on the 21st of May! Buy your presale tickets now via our online ticket office!
