THE VAN JETS (ACOUSTIC set)

‘Last call for things that you never should’ –  Two Tides of Ices

Johannes Verschaeve closes his BANG! festival off with a very special treat:

The Van Jets, like you don’t see them very often. No big show with screaming guitars, walls of feedback and drawn-out drum solos but an acoustic gig and one of their most intimate performances.

A rare opportunity to get up close with the band!

Four studio albums with singles like What’s Going OnTeevee, Two Tides of Ice and The Future ensure that the 'Jets' stay an established band in the Belgian music scene for more than a decade. In addition, the band proves repeatedly during their European club shows and festivals passages like Werchter, Pukkelpop and Dour they hold a solid live reputation.

THROES + THE SHINE (AFTERSHOW)

Throes + The Shine: a voodoo cocktail of Angolan kuduro mixed with sharp Portuguese raps, rock and electro. Think: Buraka Son Sistema. A hell of a party with a band adored by Bonde Do Role and Balkan Beat Box.

Everybody. Will. Move.

Pretty sure.

NO COMFORTS – NO ZONES

Due to the construction work currently being undertaken, KultuurKaffee has opted for a nomadic existence and, together with a guest curator, assembles twice a year a multidisciplinary programme of events at various locations dotted around the city of Brussels. Spring 2016 musician Johannes Verschaeve pushes his festival guests (along with himself) out of their comfort zone(s) and invites them at The Brussels Art Institute of Belgian artist Jan De Cock (BAI_) for a surprising six weeks.
