Due to illness bass player Kristof Roseeuw will be replaced by Nicolas Rombouts. The bass player of Dez Mona (among many other projects) will create a single improvised performance with dancer Charlotte Vanden Eynde at w-o-l-k-e.
CHARLOTTE VANDEN EYNDE creates highly personal choreographies and performances, focusing on the body with a strong sculptural and imaginative sensibility. Initially her work concentrated on vulnerability, intimacy and femininity. Later on she brought the body as a matter to focus and returned afterwards to dance in its purest form. Besides her work as a choreographer, Vanden Eynde is working in theatre and film as a dancer and actress.
Bass player KRISTOF ROSEEUW is active on various fronts in the Belgian jazz scene. Commissioned by Radio Klara, Roseeuw composed on a weekly basis for the art programme ‘De KunstKaravaan’ which also led to the creation of the radioKUKAorkest, a unique ensemble that pushes the boundaries of contemporary jazz, classical music and folk. He is also the bass player in the wacky big band FES (Flat Earth Society) and Too Noisy Fish.
At the request of curator Teun Verbruggen, Vanden Eynde and Roseeuw join forces and will bring a one-off, exclusive impro performance at BANG!.
NADJMA ! POSTPONED!
21:30 - @ W-O-L-K-E
Sadly the germs also celebrated at Nadjma's place so due to sickness this performance is postponed to a later date. More information will follow.
'Disoriented’ equals an artistic project instructed by artist NADJMA Rahamatali that brings together different forms of artistic expression, including body painting, dance, visual arts and music. The show expresses the quest for knowledge about the self and asks questions about the past with the aim of achieving a good concentration in the moment and ultimately attain a better future for everyone. It is a path to the understanding of the self, and as a result of the focus, there is a rediscovery of the wrestling with oneself. “Disoriented” does not hide our good or our bad adaptation to certain affairs and initiates us to the universal collective consciousness.
