The core of Mocambo: rapper 'Le Tagarel' and producer 'Tartaruga'. Thanks to their love and passion for music, both musicians began an intense adventure which leaded to the recent album release of 'Aruanda' (March 25). While recording 'Le Tagarel' and 'Tartaruga' received the participation of a lot of musicians and singers from different corners of the world, including Belgium, Brazil, Congo and Martinique.
Aruanda is an organic and musical blend of melodic French HipHop flavoured by influences from Brazilian popular music and Afro-beat.
This concept album tells the story of a slave who longs for freedom and justice. He manages to escape and begins his search for 'Mocambo'- the free state. His chronicle influenced by mythical figures and stories from the Afro-Brazilian folklore and history.
